Fort Wayne, IN – Showcase Our City 31 Days of May Challenge

Don’t we have a tremendous city?  Help me showcase it.  I’ve accepted a challenge to write a new blog post every single day of May 2011 about local site, sounds, and businesses of Fort Wayne, as well as our real estate community.

Fort Wayne, INSome suggestions so far:

  • Coolest real estate offices in Fort Wayne
  • View from the top of Lincoln Tower
  • Behind the scenes at the Zoo
  • Day in the life of a the FWPD
  • Mayoral race candidate interview

I’d really like to highlight some of the local flavor here.  I was born and raised in Fort Wayne so sometimes I forget what is special about Fort Wayne, IN!  Help me show the world what we have to offer.

When you need some answers regarding mortgages and home loans in Fort Wayne, IN I will treat you as I would like to be treated.

Great idea, Chris! We do have some real gems in Fort Wayne, and I have long lamented our seeming inability to market our community. Here are some more ideas, thing/places I enjoy about our city:
-Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival (coming in May!)
-The fantastic paletas at La Michoacana on Wells St.
    -George’s International Grocery
-Chuck & Bird’s Market and Bistro
-Historic reenactments at the Old Fort
    -Homemade croissants at Madeleine’s Bakehouse
    -Germanfest (June)
    -Greekfest (June)
-Tapestry (annual women’s event in April)
-The gift shop at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art (great stuff)

I can think of lots more; email me if you want to continue the conversation!

I forgot to include the Fort Wayne Children’s Choir Spring Concert (Sunday, May 1). A really outstanding event!

What a terrific list, Tammy. 3 or 4 on there that I wasn’t even aware of myself (i.e. croissants and Chuck & Bird’s market and Bistro). Gotta do some exploring myself!

Ethnic food/restaurants, authentic local joints. I volunteer to help with Vietnamese food.
